About Us
Pastoralist Adaptive Initiatives for Resilience (PAIR) was registered in Kenya in 2024 with a mission to serve pastoralist communities across ASAL counties. Our priority regions include Turkana, Marsabit, Samburu, Kajiado, and Isiolo Counties that have faced recurring climate shocks, conflict and hunger, yet remain home to some of the most resilient people in the world.
PAIR exists to unlock this resilience, reduce hunger, and foster self-reliance through sustainable, locally led solutions that are co-created with communities and strengthened through private sector collaboration.

At PAIR, we believe markets unlock the path to resilience. We work with pastoralist communities to strengthen livelihoods and create self-reliance through trade and enterprise. By linking producers to local, national, and global markets, we foster economic independence, reduce aid dependency, and ensure pastoralists build futures on their own terms.
